General Terms and Conditions
The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions is to set out the contractual terms and conditions and data management principles relating to registration, cancellation, participation in the scheduled lessons/events of the Stapes Újbudai Lovas Klub Sport Egyesület (Stapes Equestrian Club Újbuda Sports Association) and the use of its riding facilities.

- Conditions of participation
Registration for riding lessons/events is possible after signing up.
By registering, you declare that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of the Service Provider’s lessons, cancellations, participation, and services, as well as the data management rules, and that you agree with all of its points.
Participants are registered via the online interface accessible by clicking on the “Book an appointment” button. The participation fee is paid in accordance with the provisions of Section 7.
The procedure for registering for classes/events is as follows:
In the case of scheduled classes, the applicant clicks on the “Register” or “Book an appointment” button for the given class, and in the case of other events, on the event data sheet.
The application is recorded by our system.
The ordered participation can be paid for by bank transfer. Referring to the application, the applicant can obtain further information about the order at any of our contact details.
- Schedule of classes/events
In the case of scheduled classes, the duration of instruction corresponds to the duration indicated in the schedule. The duration of events is specified in the description of the event. Our riding school does not have a permanent reception desk, but you can enter 10 hours before the start of scheduled lessons and other advertised events.
You must arrive 20 minutes before the start. In the event of a late arrival, we are unable to extend the duration of the lesson, and late arrivals will not be able to join the lesson.
The Service Provider shall not be liable for accidents caused by the participant’s own fault, the fault of another participant in the riding lesson, or the unpredictable behavior of horses and other animals. In all cases of accidents involving personal injury, a report will be taken on site, which will be certified by the signature of the instructor present and, if necessary, other persons present participating in the course.
- Course of instruction
The association reserves the exclusive right to determine the course of instruction. If the applicant has any previous injuries, they are required to notify the riding school in advance, at least before the first lesson.
- Contact
Contact will be made via the email address and telephone number provided in the application. The Association is not responsible for the availability of the telephone number or email address provided, or for the functioning of the email service. The Service Provider is not liable for any damages resulting from failure to contact the applicant for this reason.
- Payment method
Online transfer.
- Rules of participation
Participation in scheduled lessons and advertised events is open to anyone in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions, subject to the following restrictions.
The riding instructor representing the Stapes Újbudai Lovas Klub Sport Egyesület (Stapes Újbuda Riding Club Sports Association) is entitled to exclude from participation in riding lessons anyone who
– intentionally or repeatedly violates the safety rules that are mandatory in the riding hall and communicated prior to the course;
– endangers the physical safety of course participants through intentional or grossly negligent behavior;
– violates the basic ethical rules of social cooperation through their behavior, intentionally hinders or prevents the progress of the riding lesson
– is under the influence of alcohol or other substances that adversely affect their judgment.
The Service Provider reserves the right to refuse the participant the opportunity to register for further courses if they have been excluded from participating in the lesson/event for the above reasons.
Participants are only allowed to use the riding hall, its equipment, and the tools provided for the purposes specified in this contract and in the manner intended, and they are responsible for any damage caused by their behavior.
- Right to modification
The Association reserves the right to modify the dates or previously announced topics of classes/events. The Service Provider shall notify applicants of any cancellation or change in date at least 24 hours before the class by sending an email to the email address provided during registration. The participation fee paid for the cancelled class can be used for any class announced at a later date.
- Cancellation policy
Participants are entitled to cancel their participation in selected regular scheduled classes 24 hours before the start time by clicking on the “Cancel booking” button or by calling +36204273635. Following cancellation in accordance with this clause, the participation fee already paid may be used for any other class/event, and the class may be rescheduled.
In the event of cancellation within 24 hours or failure to attend the class, the class fee must be paid.
- Data handling
The Association handles personal data in connection with this contract and acts in accordance with the provisions of Act CXII of 2011 on the right to self-determination and freedom of information with regard to data handling. When registering for classes/events, the service provider treats the personal data it obtains as confidential and does not disclose it to third parties. When browsing our pages, technical information is recorded (e.g. in the form of log files containing the user’s IP address, the time and the URL of the page visited), which cannot be used for personal identification but serves statistical purposes. The system also stores data on the user’s computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are not suitable for identifying the user and are valid for the duration of the session. A receipt or, if requested, an invoice will be issued for the service ordered, which will be stored in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. You may request the modification or deletion of your data from the system at any time in writing. The email address provided when registering for a class/event is automatically added to the Service Provider’s newsletter database. The applicant is entitled to request deletion from the newsletter subscriber list at any time.
- Other regulations
- The Association draws the applicant’s attention to the fact that they use the services provided on this website at their own risk.
- The Association is entitled to unilaterally amend these GTC at any time. The amendment shall become effective upon publication on this website.
- This website is protected by copyright. The content displayed on the website may only be used in any form, in whole or in part, with the prior written consent of the Service Provider.
Issues not regulated in these GTC shall be governed by the provisions of the Civil Code (Act IV of 1959), Act CVIII of 2001, and Government Decree 17/1999 (II.5.).
